Horses & Overland Travel
There is official errata to the carrying capacity of horses in the 3.0 PH. Here are the correct details for horses, their carrying capacity and overland movement. Also, the A&E guide revised the speed for wagons.

Donkey's receive a +2 racial bonus to Balance checks.A medium load reduces the max Dex bonus to AC to +3 (all above creatures only have base of DEX 13), gives a -3 Check Penalty to skills such as Balance & Jump, and reduces base movement.
A heavy load reduces the max Dex bonus to AC to +1 (all above creatures only have base of DEX 13), gives a -6 Check Penalty to skills such as Balance & Jump, and reduces base movement.
Don't forget to include the weight of the tack & gear (saddle, bit & bridle, saddlebags, barding) as well as the weight of the rider (incl. armor and gear) when calculating a mount's load.
One day of feed for a horse costs 5 cp and weighs 10 lbs.

The cart itself weighs 200 lbs.
A wagon is pulled by two or more horses and can carry the lesser of 4,000 lbs or as much as those animals can drag combined. The wagon itself weighs 400 lbs.
A sled is pulled by one animal and can carry the lesser of 2,000 lb or as much as that animal can drag. The sled itself weighs 300 lbs. Sleds suffer no movement penalties across snow.
War beasts can not be used to pull vehicles.
