Myersdale Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup boiling water
2 cups (1 pint) whipped cream
Milk
Vanilla

  1. Mix first three ingredients.
  2. Add boiling water and stir.
  3. Heat directly on stove, stirring, until mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Then cook 30 minutes on a double boiler, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat. Cool completely.
  6. Fold whipped cream into cooled chocolate mixture.
  7. Heat milk. Add vanilla (to taste).
  8. Stir in generous portion of chocolate mixture and serve warm.

Chocolate mixture can be kept refrigerated up to 2 weeks.
