Class Features
Granted Powers: | Embracing Death (Su): If captured or discovered Othilites can will themselves to die. Pact with Death (Ex): Othilite's souls are taken immediately upon death by Othniel and therefore are totally unaffected by such spells as Resurrection and Speak With Dead cast by any other than a fellow cleric of Othniel. Immune To Clerical Charm (Su): Any spell or ability of divine nature that causes a charm type effect and asks for a Will save will not function on any Othilite. Immunity To Disease (Ex): At 3rd level Othilites are totally immune to natural diseases. Inspire Fear (Su): At 5th level, as a full action, Othilites can once per day cause their visage to change so that their flesh becomes translucent, their voice becomes hollow and the lighting conditions of their surroundings dim. Any non-evil creatures within 100' of the cleric must make a Will save (DC = 10 + 1/2 caster level, rounded down + Wis modifier) or flee from the cleric for 10 rounds. For each additional five levels, they can do this one addition time per day. Command Undead (Su): Beginning at 8th level, the followers of Othniel gain the power to command the living dead. This is as described on page 140 of the PH with the change that the limit of controlled undead is increased to triple the cleric's level. Disease Touch (Su): At 10th level, Othilites gain this disease bestowing power. By making a ranged touch attack (10'/caster level range), they expose the target to Cackle Fever (DMG, p.75). The target must make a Fortitude save (DC 16 + Wis mod) or be infected. Incubation period is 12 hours. This variant strain of the disease is not treatable via magical means, but magical resistance or immunity to disease will help the target avoid the effects. Once contracted, two consecutive days of successful Fortitude saves (DC 16) will cure the disease. Greater Immunity To Disease & Death (Ex): At 13rd level Othilites are totally immune to magical diseases and death effects. |
Prayer List : | All Othilites know Command, Doom and Minor Symbol of Divinity in addition to the other spells on their Prayer List. When they gain 2nd level spells, they know Hold Person and Undetectable Alignment in addition to the other spells on their Prayer List. When they gain 3rd level spells, they know Animate Dead in addition to the other spells on their Prayer List. When they gain 4th level spells, they know Unholy Blight in addition to the other spells on their Prayer List. |
